I Made It!

After several flights and little sleep, I finally made it to my dorm at about 2:30pm yesterday (9:30am EST)! I only cried a lot while saying goodbye to my mom at the Charlotte airport 2 days ago.
My room is on the first floor (looks like the 2nd in this photo) and is the closest to the corner on the orange wall. The airline somehow lost my suitcase in London, so I should receive it sometime today. A big thanks goes out to my mom for helping me pack enough in my carry on for a few days in case this happened.
I haven't really had the time nor energy to venture out yet, but am planning to do so as soon as I can. After getting in and semi-situated I took the bus to Asda (Walmart of the UK) and bought some essentials such as shampoo, pillows, bedding, and enough food to make breakfast and sandwiches for a few days. I then took the bus back while loaded down with grocery bags and unpacked everything I had. Per usual, I called my family before going to bed and told them about all that I had done. The time difference is really throwing me off. I keep forgetting that my family is 5 hours behind, and Garrett is 8. Speaking of which, sorry I woke you up so early yesterday Garrett.
My little dorm room is beginning to feel a bit more like home after filling it with my things and hanging some pictures up. Hopefully I'll feel a little more home after my suitcase arrives and all of my clothes finally make it here. Until then, I hope everyone reading this has a good day, and thank you again for all of the prayers being sent my way. I know that there are some things I cannot control, but I'm trusting that God has me here for a purpose, and I just need to wait and see what that purpose is.
